Yahoo And Microsoft still players in the Game

So after doing some more research,I am saddened by the discovery that Microsoft and yahoo are still going to merge. If the government will allow this then this is going to be a big undertaking for the relevance of searching and the users experience. They are gearing up more for the social content and mobile content of their designs.

Yahoo Overhauls Search Results Page

Yahoo launched a new look for its search results page on Tuesday, giving you easier access to results from popular Web sites and social networks.Yahoo search results are now easier to refine, thanks to the features found in the new left-hand column. Popular Websites including Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and many others appear based on your search terms, and you can click on these refining tools to see results from those sites.

What About the Microsoft Deal?

Yahoo may soon be turning over its search technology to Microsoft as part of a new partnership between the two search companies. However, Yahoo made it clear when announcing the deal that the company still owns the Yahoo search experience regardless of the company delivering the actual search technology. So I wouldn't expect these new features to go away when Microsoft takes over.

So I hope that all this merger stuff will not compromise the integrity of our information, and how that is used with microsoft. As we all know from past experiences 2000 media hype of the Corporate giant, then you heard nothing of it what ever happened about that ...........sell outs.
